JAZZ IN PIEMONTE

Local jazz production centers joined forces in 2017 to create a brand that has become one of Italy’s leading jazz networks. This day-long conference is dedicated to the presentation of the circuit and a debate featuring local jazz production professionals and institutional representatives from the Region of Piemonte.

TJM is a project brought to you by the Piemonte Jazz Consortium since 2017 (www.piemontejazz.it), in conjunction with Ancos/Confartigianato.

WHAT FUTURE FOR ITALIAN JAZZ

MIDJ (the Association of Italian Jazz Musicians) brings together TJF fans and musicians from the region of Piemonte for a presentation of the complexities involved in working with national institutions, operative options, the reasons behind an association-based approach, and an overview of the evolution of Italian jazz.

GUEST SPEAKERS: Renato Rolla, President of Piemonte Jazz; Alessandro Fedrigo, President of MIDJ; Simone Parrinello, Vice President of MIDJ; Michela Lombardi, Giulio Scognamiglio, Susanna Stivali, Francesca Remigi, Giulio Visibelli, MIDJ Board members; Diego Borotti, MIDJ Board member and Piemonte Jazz Board member.

MIDJ was founded in 2014 as a hub for jazz musicians in Italy. Today it counts over 500 members.

This band of local all-stars represents and promotes the brand and mission of the Piemonte Jazz Consortium at the national level. This performance also features special guests from today’s international jazz scene.
