Jazz Blitz on Demand

The festival’s Jazz Blitz section, first introduced in 2018, is known for bringing jazz to places where people need music most: hospitals, daytime assistance centers, rest homes, prisons. But due to the Coronavirus pandemic, this year’s program will not be featuring this segment, which has always been a hit among patients, residents, folks in need of help and prisoners, as well as staff and, when feasible, the general public admitted to these very special performances.

Torino Jazz Festival remains in solidarity with all the people in those institutions, and we continue to provide the music so enjoyed and appreciated with custom recordings that will be broadcast and made available to them.

This year’s Jazz Blitz on Demand features the music of TENCOFAMIGLIA.

Nicola Meloni, keyboards
Donato Stolfi, drums

The group was founded by Torino-based singer Emy Spadea, and revisits the music of Italian singer-songwriters like Giorgio Gaber, Umberto Bindi, Luigi Tenco, adding touches of trip hop, neo soul and jazz along the way.
