Coyotes are highly resourceful animals. They quickly adapt to environments that have been modified by man. And the more man meddles with the landscape, the further coyotes’ ranges extend. Coyotes live in groups, though they can also be solitary individualists. They’re also mythological creatures, and tend to rebel against the norm. As musicians, these three coyotes cover a vast range of musical territory. In a world where walls are built to fence people in or keep them out, Tres Coyotes long to keep music free and out in the open. The talented and versatile cellist Anssi Karttunen is at home with the classics and contemporary music alike. Magnus Lindberg is one of Europe’s most revered contemporary composers. And multi-instrumentalist John Paul Jones was a founding member of Led Zeppelin. Need we say more?
