The trio takes its cue from the famed pianoless groups led by artists like Sonny Rollins, Ornette Coleman, Sam Rivers and others. What they all had in common was a free, creative approach. The group’s interplay is the starting point for original compositions that set sail from jazz languages and head toward havens of sound that blend rock, New Orleans styles and folk.
