The Erios Junior Jazz Orchestra, founded and conducted by professor Mario Biasio, along with his colleague Angelo Rolando, is made up of thirty young musicians. A classic American big band formation, but here the players are all under 20! EJJO musicians include competition winners, starting with the group’s drummer, who’s just 11 years old. EJJO aims to create a positive “short circuit” among young people, inspiring listening and playing. Special guest Joan Chamorro, founder of Barcelona’s Sant’Andreu Jazz Band – Europe’s foremost youth orchestra – celebrates his commitment to the international partnership of the two groups.
