The Norwegian trio Elephant 9 is led by Ståle Storløkken – the favorite pianist of Terje Rypdal (of Supersilent and Motorpsycho) – teaming up with famed Swedish guitarist Reine Fiske (of Dungen), unleash an explosive mix of contemporary prog, jazz and avant-rock. Their music has been called “mind-blowing psychedelia”. An electric storm generated by the complementary personalities of the four artists. A formula perfected over fifteen years together, and ten albums. Elephant9 makes its debut in Italy and at TJF. They call themselves “musical monsters”. Influences from John Coltrane to King Crimson.
In conjunction with the Embassy of Norway in Rome.
