An original production by the Django Reinhardt Manouche Jazz Association for the Torino Jazz Festival

Sold out

In recent years the Torino-based trio Accordi Disaccordi has made a name for itself with a string of albums and live performances throughout Europe, pushing their distinctive Italian Gypsy jazz sound to the limits. For their performance at the Torino Jazz Festival they’ve enlisted the participation of violinist Florin Niculescu, who forges ahead in the vein of Stéphane Grappelli, and actor-director Giorgio Tirabassi, a true-blue connoisseur of the music of Django Reinhardt. The show is a revival of works by Grappelli and Reinhardt, brimming with narratives from the lives of these two 20th-century Gypsy jazz legends. Adding to the magic: a Selmer guitar that Django Reinhardt played on his 1948 Italian tour.
